SCOPE:
Maintenance and repair of the entire Resort with furniture, fixtures, equipments and other facilities.
Provides engineering craft service needed for the safe and efficient operation of the Resort facilities.
Keep management informed of all finding pertaining to Engineering department.
Maximize follow up on after function matters with an eye to ensuring repeat business.
DESCRIPTION FOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generates, purchase, and distributes necessary electric power as required, in the economical and efficient manner.
Conduct the Engineering daily briefing as a tool of coordination at Engineering Department.
Produces, purchases, treats and distributes water at temperatures and conditions required in most economical and efficient manner.
Produces and distributes steam at condition and pressure required in the most economical and efficient manner.
Develop the Work Order management to ensure that all equipment sent to Engineering Department through WO, are well identified and executed.
Organizing the staff in-charge during whole operation time to meet the level of Resort standard service, in term of communication and solving the technical problem. 
Produce a monthly report to General Manager for the maintenance progress and all aspects of Engineering matters related with Resort, including the cost of operation and the forecast of Engineering operational cost.
Supplies, exhaust, clean, circulate, cools, heats, humidifiers air as may be necessary to maintain specific temperature, humidifiers and comfort in specified areas throughout the
entire Resort as designed and specified in the most economical way.
Treats and disposes of all refuses in the most economical and efficient manner.
Ensures that elevators operate as designed to satisfy the needs in the most economical and efficient manner.
Maintain a preventive maintenance program for all equipment installations, building ground, furniture and fixtures to ensure maximum utilization and minimum breakdown at
minimum efficiency and best appearance.

Ensure adequate spare part are at hand consistent with current condition by estimating and ordering needed parts in due time.
Obtain information and knowledge to keep abreast of industry practice, technological and advancement, new methods, equipment and materials.
Prepare monthly report, charts and data of the previous month usage/ consumption, of fuel oil, gas, water, electricity, steam, gasoline and the engineering condition of various
systems on special reports form, giving a true picture of where the Resort stands maintenance wise and consumption wise with recommendations of what must be done
for improvement and correction.
Plan, direction and coordinate operation of Engineering Department.
Analyses and raise in monthly basis the effectiveness with which  the Engineering Department operates to see that established work policies and
operational procedures are adhered to and that prompt corrective action are taken whenever and needed.
Delegate the task and authority to personnel under his direction to carry out responsibilities and objectivities to assure correct functioning of the Engineering Department with its responsibilities.
Maintains continues training programs for his personnel to maintain a high vigilance for efficiency, effectiveness in better and more economical work methods.
Inspect the entire Resort property as often as he finds necessary, consulting all other Department Heads regarding maintenance problems and their solution.
Holds monthly Engineering departmental meeting.
Recommended Engineering store room requisition to the storekeeper.
Prepare and submit to management for approval Engineering yearly three-month review, heat, light, power, and capital expenditure account and repair and maintenance budget.
In cooperation with the HR Manager recommend to General Manager hiring and dismissal of Engineering personnel on special forms.
Ensure Engineering personnel adhere to Resort rules, regulations operation schedule, correct use of tools and machinery and that the Engineering personnel are well
disciplined neat and well groomed. To enforce this, the Chief Engineer must show good leadership, be punctual and fair in his judgment, supervises and guide his personnel for
maximum efficiency in pleasant and correct service minded engineering surroundings.
Give compliments, recommen dations as well as reprimands when due according to the Resort rules and regulations.
Direct execution of the Resort safety program including active assistance to other Department Heads in following up on safety in all parts of the Resort operation.
Regularly gives lectures in safety including safety complaint and makes safety aids available for training exercise.
Maintain a complete up to date file “as built drawings” specifications, manuals for buildings, grounds and all equipment contained within the Resort property.
Maintain a complete up the date history of all fire equipment.
Operate and maintains fire detecting system throughout the Resort ensuring proper functioning at all times.
Ensure proper operation and maintenance of the Resort sound system.
Maintain all office equipment throughout the Resort, on realistic budget, report misuse to Department Head concerned.
Responsible for preparing yearly budgets for heat, light and power, repair, maintenance and capital equipment and improvement in coordination with Chief Accountant.
Submit reports on major breakdowns affecting the operations, and date and duration of scheduled interruption.
Respond to any changes in the departmental function as dictated by the industrial company or Resort.

To be familiar with Engineering Policies &Procedures, Job Description and Staff Manual.
To carry out and other duties which are assigned by the Superiors from time to time. 
This job description is not exhaustive of all the job tasks, but guide and tasks maybe added or removed by General Manager as your immediate Superior according to the
pressure of work.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work independently with little supervision, as well as have the ability to consider, evaluate and make sound business decisions regarding question as problem
solving. 
Must be familiar with all Resort procedures, regulations. 

WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
6 years more or less experience in the Hospitality Industry.
Having Resort/Hotel experience is an advantage.
Computer proficient.
