DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and lead a direct team of approximately 5-6 personnel across BD, sales, account, and product managers (regional recruitment support will be provided through HR). 
  • Develop localized business and sales goals with the leadership team, implement BD and sales processes and systems with the team from scratch. 
  • Supervise communications and collaborations internally with stakeholders in China, Singapore,  Indonesia, and the Philippines.
  • Provide team leadership to the newly hired team across sales, customer success, account managers, and business development hires, and set individual contribution targets.
  • Become a company product expert utilizing prior knowledge of SaaS and cloud-based platforms.
  • Translation of Group strategic initiatives into tactical operational strategy and decision-making on the ground. 
  • Ensure team members are trained when products are upgraded and new products are released
  • Drive operational improvements, share best practices, seek and take action on improvement  opportunities 
  • Provision of accurate forecasting, tangible strategic and operational plans, whilst revenue targets are being fulfilled. 
  • Work closely with company personnel in compiling “on the ground” sales reports,  customer trends, and competitor information with the sales, BD, and customer service team members.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Experience in building SaaS-based platforms and clientele portfolio from scratch
  • Strong understanding of local retail and e-commerce market 
  • Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills 
  • Fluency in Simplified Chinese, English, and either one of the local languages (e.g. Bahasa)
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives across the region.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences. 
  • Strong knowledge and experience of call center or telemarketing operations and technologies, including the latest industry best practices. 
  • Experience in hiring within the local market for team members 
  • Strong ability to lead multiple projects at the same time 
  • Ability to mentor and lead team members 
  • Strategic planning, program development, business forecasting experience, and “start-up”  operational skills. 
  • Minimum 5 years experience in similar or relatable B2B industry with SaaS experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
